Came across several odd things online today… not just your regular “news of the weird” either…
Blossom: The Brave Balloon at things magazine. Printed in London, 1941. You can read the book by clicking on the first image; clicking on the image you’re reading will advance to the next page, until you get near the end. Then clicking the page will toss you back to the index, but you can click on the final couple of pages from there.
Many more odd things can be found at things magazine.
My wandering trail from things magazine led me to the mystery of Greek fire.
I headed over to FFFFound! because an artist listed it as a to discover art and be inspired. There’s no telling what type of art may be listed here. I’ll have to explore more when I’m at home tonight.
From FFFFound!, I went to this artist, Alastair Heseltine. I like his stacked wood “sculpture.” But browsing the rest of the site, you’ll see that he really has a love of wicker and vines and generally just interweaving organic things. Hard to explain, just go take a look.
Have fun!
