A Dragon in Sheep’s Clothing

In a CNN article about an offensive costume worn by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) employee to a fundraiser, there is a note buried about 2/3 of the way through about Julia Myers, head of the agency:

“Myers has served as head of ICE since January of 2006 but is still awaiting Senate confirmation.”

Almost two years? Still not confirmed? Why not? Can you imagine something like this happening on the business world…. like a CEO working for and being paid by her company for nearly two years, while the board of directors has yet to agree to her hire?

Strange.
