Much of the functionality of Amazon seems to be the same, but they have done away with the tabs at the top of the page, spruced up the look with beveled edges, and provided a consolidated way of navigating through their numerous categories. Jakob Nielsen will be happy that the page-top tabs are gone. Take a look:
