There is a problem in our society, where personal time is seen as something that is only to fill the space in between work. In my experience I have had a job where I was worried the boss wouldn't let me run some critical errands, "Do you really need that second car?" or I have been told that there was to be no vacation during a summer month. I can understand the need to produce while at work (and not commenting on blogs, like I am doing right now), but to start restricting personal time and even turning personal time into work is not good for the work/life balance.
