Continuing the power ballad theme….
Right on the edge of the 90′s, I fell in love with the power ballad “When I’m With You” by Sheriff. I even got its cassette single. Originally released it 1983, it slept until reaching #1 on Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 countdown in January 1989.

By the time this song hit #1, the band had broken up. But fueled by the song’s sudden success, two former members created the band Alias and had one smash hit, “More Than Words Can Say”:
