Lazy blogger

Okay, I’ll admit it, I’m a lazy blogger.

Posting del.icio.us links is one way to have “new” content on the blog without actually writing a post. Saving links via del.icio.us is another way to be lazy — I can share interesting sites without writing a whole post about each one. My only justifications are 1) if I listed those links in a sidebar, my infrequent visitors would miss things older than 1 or 2 days; and 2) del.icio.us is a much better way of sharing collected novelties as opposed to cluttering people’s inboxes every time I want to share a link.

I don’t think of it as lazy – I think of it as efficient, because I’ve found a lot of useful things through the daily del.icio.us posts of blogs to which I’m subscribed. I wouldn’t go to the bother of chasing up their del.icio.us site and subscribing to its feed separately.

Those that I read who daily post del.icio.us tags usually demonstrate thoughtfulness, concision and/or creativity in their notes.

It is something I want to do at my blog – but Blogger & del.icio.us haven’t (to my knowledge) bothered to enable such connection between them.

I’m very disappointed with both of them. Wouldn’t it advantage them both?

Is traffic a goal for a blogging service like Blogger? I visit the blog whose writer shares their tags, and the daily posts promotes del.icio.us – what stops them getting it together?

I found your post via a GoogleAlert seeking combination of del.icio.us and Blogger, hoping to have it revealed when/if they do get it together.
