Fun fun fun

Today is pamper Heidi day.

I went to an eye doctor this morning, only to discover that they don’t take the state vision insurance plan. :-P Oh well. I’m at Panera now, looking up providers covered. Looks like that eye doctor is an anomaly, because there sure are a lot of other doctors listed. So after I leave here, it’s over to the mall to see if any eye doctors are in today. If they are, they’re probably not too busy since it’s a holiday weekend, so maybe I can get the exam done at least. Not sure where I’ll get glasses yet — the state plan covers any provider for that. The store next to the doctor that I tried to visit this morning has a very nice price for 2 pairs of glasses, but I have to wait for them to come in, as opposed to a 1-hour type of place. I kind of want them this weekend. Total, the state covers $125 for 1 pair of glasses (lenses incl.) so I guess that’s a help if I go for the 1-hour place. And fun money from my Mom too, of course. (LYL!) Actually it probably depends more on whether I fall in love with a pair of frames. :-)

Still loving my hair. :-)

I took follow-up pictures this morning outside my condo. I wore the same outfit as yesterday to give a direct comparison. But I think still photos really don’t do it justice. I’ll have to wait until I get back to work on Tuesday to get video (my E-300 doesn’t do video).

I forgot to bring my camera’s memory card into Panera to upload the follow-up photos, so I’ll do that later this afternoon.

Today is also make-up experimentation day. I know that my face is a focal point now, so I painted up a little before heading out. Maybelline doesn’t make the foundation I used to get, so I bought some Dream Matte™ Mousse (shade light #1) yesterday. I really like it. Very light on my skin — I don’t even think about it being there. I already have all the eyeshadow I need. Maybe some eye pencils would be in order. And I need a new bottle of clear mascara. (Clear mascara just defines the eyelashes and orders eyebrows, as opposed to colored mascara which makes lashes appear thicker/fuller/longer.)

And another reason why I’m glad my head didn’t get totally shaved — it’s burning a little where they shaved the “tails” that run down my neck. I can’t imagine my whole head feeling like that! It feels like I have a mild sunburn, but I haven’t been in the sun for more than a minute at time today. And I have some Coppertone oil-free sunscreen if I do.

Oh, and kitty didn’t really think anything of my new ‘do at all. He sniffed it for about 10 seconds, and after that I couldn’t get him interested. I did find out that if I rub my head against him, my head picks up cat hair. LOL… Guess I’d better make sure I’m going with the grain when I give him head butts.
