So I have changed my home phone provider to be the same as my DSL provider. DSL should be active next Thursday. In the meantime, I can use dial-up.
Or at least I could if I had a dial tone.
I called the repair line (on my cell phone, duh) Friday night and learned that because I previously had phone through the cable company, the wires in the outside jack had to be rearranged (the cable company apparently did so when they set up my service). Of course, the repair office is only open M-F until 6pm, so I have to wait and call on Monday.
Bummer.
